We are in the swing of the new school year. These boys are growing like crazy and getting smarter every day. Stuart is teething something fierce and loves to climb up on everything. Getting down is not so easy. He likes to play a game where he climbs to the second floor of the house and then calls me from the top of the stairs. HIGH-larious!
I love how Trav calls the tree in our back yard a “forever-green” tree. He drew a picture of our house at school and the tree in the backyard was as tall and big as the house. (Also, whenever he sees me taking a picture of Stuart, he runs to get in it. Would someone please give this boy some attention?)
On our anniversary earlier this month, I tried to show Trav photos from our wedding album. He said, “Skip to the end.”
You know how kid nature shows try to be subtle about … nature? Nothing gets past our boys. Elliot said, “The hen lays the egg and then the rooster does his part. I don’t know what his part is.” Something to think about for sure.
Trav let me in on a secret. “When I’m a spy, I’ll visit every continent in the world. Even Texas.”
If you are friends with Fletch on Facebook, you may have seen that Elliot made an “L” on wheels out of legos. We got a kick out of that even though Elliot just thought he was being smart.
Elliot said, “How do you create a zipper? And how do you attach it to two pieces of cloth?”
Trav’s equally perplexing question: “And how did God make China?”
Watching an outdoor movie of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, one kid said, “I’ve seen this movie before!” Elliot said, “I read the book.”
Trav loves butter. “Whenever I see butter on something, I eat it!” (This is not true when it comes to corn on the cob.)
Travis the photo-bomber! And the spy who knows his territory–even Texas. Elliot may have something there with the school and hiccups. Stuart is getting so tall. Love those guys.
Great pics of these precious boys…and I love how you record their thoughts…too funny!
