Pictures of Boxes

Here is an ode to this move from Chicago to Seattle. In this group of pictures you will see stacks of boxes, empty rooms, exhaustion, and hope that it will all be over soon. We are living as if we were camping this week: wearing the same clothes every day, using a single pot to cook with, and also it’s just really cold outside. But we do have lovely bathrooms, internet hookups, and a big TV to help ease the transition. The kids have been super champs. Elliot loves to “hide” in plain sight and be wrapped up like a burrito. He and Travis have started wrestling with each other and the peals of laughter from that alone warms everyone to the core.

Blizzard and Beyond

By the second or third day of being stuck inside we were ready to venture out. We bundled up in our warmest clothes and had on plenty of layers. Broke out the sled and… off we went!

Weeeee!!

Not even a block later it started to get *really* cold.
Misery. Let’s go home.
This guy was *not* going to take a nap.
Later we made a pillow fort.
I spy an angel.
Love this face.
Giving a THUMBS UP!

This one has so much to say already.
