This summer Elliot has learned to eat, swing, and scoot on his belly. We went to the beach to catch the Air and Water Show. He has also made a lot of friends!

Elliot loves to eat! He is eating rice cereal, oatmeal, peas, sweet potatoes, and carrots. He likes peas most but he does not like bananas. He is sleeping so much better now that he’s eating too! Through the night, like a champ!

One month old!

We brought Elliot home on a Friday. Glenda and Paula were there to greet us when we came home. They had cleaned the house and were ready to love our little boy!

Elliot couldn’t wait to be born! Not due until April 12, he arrived on March 26 at 6:19 in the morning. He was 6 lb 7 oz and 19 in long. We couldn’t be happier that he is already here!

Paula came into town the weekend of March 16 and threw us a baby shower! It was an “Across the Miles” baby shower because people mailed gifts to us and we opened them on that day. Fun times! It was also St. Patrick’s Day so Chicago was crazy. The river was dyed green. We also ate dinner at Oprah’s chef’s restaurant… Table 52. We had 12-layer chocolate cake!

The moms in my Stay at Home Moms group threw us a baby shower! How thoughtful! They made a delicious lunch with lasagna and salad and orzo and a cake. Then we got to open presents. There was one other dad there so Fletch didn’t have to be the only one. They also gave us a lot of post-baby advice. I’m so thankful for this group of moms and their friendship.

Fletch just turned 31 so we celebrated with a turtle cheesecake, dinner at Maggiano’s with friends, and a night at the NPR radio show Wait Wait Don’t Tell Me!
