Sit Happens

Sometimes we just sit.

And then do a cooking craft. We are going through a doughnut phase. Today’s flavor was pumpkin. Yum!

Then we made a new track.

When Elliot saw this he said “Now I’m six ramps tall!”

We rolled all kinds of things down the track: playdoh balls, trains, regular balls, cars. Ping pong balls worked best.

Here is a painting Elliot made at school by rolling cars through paint.

Here are some jar pumpkins we made with flickering lights inside.

Here’s a googley-eyed guy who disintegrated too quickly. RIP.

Here is our mantle with sticker pumpkins and glitter pumpkins and our jar pumpkins.

And of course our Buzz Lightyear pumpkin.

So when we do sit, we are gearing up for more adventures!

Dear Julie,

You may not be taller than a fire hydrant… but as your older cousins, we have some advice for you.

Listen to good advice.

Go to school.

Life has its ups and downs. Enjoy the ride!

Try to be in the driver’s seat.

Remember who’s got your back!

Pursue your passion! (Ours is jumping in muddy puddles.)
Always slide into life head-first.

Don’t let obstacles deter you.

Love and kisses and mudpies,

Par-tay

Here’s what went down on this party day. Elliot was in school so Trav and I hit the mall for some helicopter fun.

Yes, in fact, he did toss his shoes out of the stroller. After helicopter we went to retrieve them.

But he would not wear them anymore. I think they are still in the stroller basket in the trunk of the car.

Here is my party crew! Boo-yah! This was the hap-nin’ place to be today in Newcastle!

Many thanks to Elliot for helping me blow out All. Those. Candles.

They both began the cake eating with decorum…

But quickly forgot all allegiance to the queen and displayed caveman behavior.

After that we had to hit the dance floor with some sweet moves and party favors.

And then they became two blurs, refusing to stand still so I could document the hilarity.
In this photo Elliot has a balloon tied to his train that he holds like a kite. And trav is wearing a cardboard paper towel ring as a sleeve.

Yes I like to dress them alike during the day and night. It’s my birthday and also my right and they are so cute!

The blur stopped when the kids went to sleep. Sweet dreams, candy inspectors!
